A really good reason and the most popular one for many people is making their dream into a reality. Few people ever get to realize the satisfaction of fulfilling their dreams. They may be afraid of failing but the fact is that if you fail, at least you tried, and that makes you one step closer to success.

Another good reason to follow your small business dreams is the endless amount of possibilities that are out there. You can easily run your small business from your house, online or in a rented storefront building. Now, you know that starting your own small business is to bring in more financial rewards for you and your family to live on. With this being the case you need to examine your financial situation right now. Do you have the financial ability to start your own small business? If so, great; if not then you may need some financial backing to get your small business up and running.

Next, you need to consider if this small business will net you a profit or to pay back any loans you may have gotten. It may be in your best interest not to give up the current job you do so you will have that income to survive on. Creating a business plan and following it to the letter will help you get a loan as well as helping you see how to make a profit.

You need to also consider if you are planning on doing all the day to day work involved with your small business. If not, will you be having family members help or will you need additional employees? Look into additional taxes or insurance if you will need additional employees. Check with your state rules on small business and employment.
